Hi, I’m Aric!
My photographic journey started when I was just a young boy, about 8 years old. That was also the year I ruined my first roll of film by opening up the back of the 35mm range-finder camera I was using. I’ve been hooked ever since and have spent more than 20 years behind a camera, communicating the “art of life” as it happens through my lens.
As a young teenager, I began to travel to different places in Central America and Asia. The world and people I saw around me, from the slums of Honduras, to the shining South China Sea, was too beautiful to not be shared. As a result, I have always endevered to use my camera to capture my experiences and translate a small taste of that world to others.
Now, I have lived in Sichuan Province, China for well more than a decade. I started my journey in Asia as a foreign exchange student, learning the language and culture. I consider it a privilege to document the enigma that is modern day China and share it with the rest of the world.
I hope you enjoy!
